Step 32 To Selling a Home: Moving Day

Whenever possible, we recommend that you plan to move out the day before closing -- it makes the final walk-through easier for everyone, and it means that you can clean the home (or have a cleaning service come through) before the buyer's final walk-through and before the closing.

Moving day is often a larger source of stress than closing day, and we've found over the years that it may be better to make arrangements for the day you move out to not be the same day you close.

We will discuss the logistics of your moving day and your closing with you in detail, as we know every situation is unique. Then we will discuss with the buyer's agent. If everyone is on the same page, regardless of when your move takes place, the stress will be less for everyone.
